The Deljoueis joined because they wanted a place where their kids could explore and have fun, and the added convenience of being close to home was a bonus.
“We visit the museum regularly on weekends, spending between 1 to 3 hours there each time. When we’re not at the museum, we enjoy cooking, going to parks, shopping, and spending time with friends. We enjoy celebrating and learning about the various cultures in the greater Sacramento area through SCM’s Cultural Connections program and we would love to see Persian New Year celebrated at the museum alongside the many other traditions observed throughout the year. Celebrated on the Spring Equinox, Persian New Year has been observed for over 3,000 years in ancient Persia and is now recognized in many countries around the world,” says the Deljoueis family.
