Meet the Yasi-Wallace Family!

“My son Lane and I had a delightful first visit to the museum in August 2022, and we’ve been frequent visitors ever since. Since we come here once a week, the annual membership is a great option for us,” says Mrs. Yasi-Wallace. “Lane is a bit shy and doesn’t like crowds, so we always take advantage of the membership hour, which is a tremendous benefit.”

“Our routine usually starts with Lane playing with trains at the train table before we grab a grocery cart to do some food shopping. Lane loves to weigh all the produce, and depending on how crowded it is, we either stop by the tube wall or do a little project in the art room. After that, we head to the Imagination Playground, which is Lane’s favorite spot. He has so much fun doing various activities in such a large space. We always say hi to the bees before grabbing a snack and heading out.”

“Living in the Sacramento area has its perks, and we are fortunate to have many beautiful places to visit, such as Beal’s Point, the Confluence, and several spots in Tahoe. We try to go on a camping trip every month. When we’re not playing outside or at the museum, we love to cook, and Lane is learning how to be a sous chef. We also read many books a day, so we really appreciate the Little Free Library at the museum.”
